Concept currently being developed for NYC endurance cyclists
OUTPOST is a secure cycling clubhouse at the gateway to New York's best distance riding. Store your bike. Keep your gear here. Change, ride, shower, recover.
No carrying your bike through the city. No loading the car. No spending the first hour of your ride escaping traffic.
Arrive. Ride. Recover. Go home.
Every long ride out of Manhattan begins with an hour of logistics. Stairs, elevators, traffic, the bridge path. Then the real ride starts — and you do the whole thing again backwards, tired.
Same route out. Same route back. Every weekend.
Roughly 90 minutes of the morning spent not riding
Travel light. Everything else is already there.
The dead miles disappear. The ride stays the same length.
Storage is the reason you'd join. It isn't the reason you'd stay. OUTPOST is being designed as the place your riding life lives — the workshop, the coffee, the group that leaves at 7:45.
Assigned indoor storage with controlled access, cameras and member-only entry. Your bike hangs in the same place every week, indoors, dry, and not in your hallway.
Shoes, helmet, glasses, tools, nutrition, kit and spares stay at OUTPOST. You travel with a backpack, or with nothing at all.
Arrive in normal clothes. Leave clean. No changing in a parking lot, no train ride home in a soaked base layer.
Floor pumps, work stands, common tools, charging for electronic shifting, tubeless support and space to sort out a problem before it becomes a walk home.
Proper espresso, hydration, gels, bars, simple pre-ride food and something worth drinking when you get back.
Routes, weather, segments, group ride boards, racing on the screen, and somewhere to sit and talk about bikes for an hour afterwards.
Bike cleaning, drivetrain maintenance, kit laundry, tune-ups and pre-ride prep, so the bike you pick up on Saturday is the bike you'd want to ride.
Vault concept — assigned indoor racking, member-only access
Workshop concept — stands, pumps, tools, charging
Five and a half hours, door to door. Sixty of them on roads worth riding.
Leave Manhattan with a backpack.
Arrive at OUTPOST.
Change. Fill bottles. Grab the bike.
Start a 60-mile ride.
Return.
Bike back in the vault. Shower.
Espresso. Recovery drink. Talk bikes.
Head home.
60.0 mi · ride completeEverything else stays behind
Your bike, shoes, helmet and gear are already where you'll need them next weekend.
Finish the ride. Shower. Leave the maintenance to OUTPOST — or handle it yourself in a proper workshop.
Your apartment gets its space back. Your bike gets a secure home.
Your ride ends at OUTPOST.The hassle ends there too.
Saturday, 12:15 PM · nothing in your hands
The first location hasn't been chosen. We're evaluating the gateways NYC riders already use — the places where the traffic thins and the road opens up. Your answer moves the pin.

These prices are being tested, not set. Tell us which one you'd actually pay for — including none of them. That answer is as useful to us as a yes.

Pricing shown is illustrative and being tested as part of this research. Nothing here is for sale, and choosing a tier records a preference — it doesn't reserve anything or ask for a card.
There's no persuading to do here. Either the first hour of your Saturday is a problem you've quietly accepted, or it isn't.
OUTPOST is not trying to make someone a cyclist. It is being designed for people who already are.
Half of why riders keep showing up somewhere is the people who are already there at seven in the morning. That part gets designed too.
A clubhouse, not a venue. Quiet enough to sit in on a Tuesday, busy enough at 7:30 on a Saturday that you never have to ride alone unless you want to.

We're finding out whether enough NYC-area endurance cyclists want a place like this to exist.
If the concept solves a problem you actually have, join the Founding Rider List. No payment, no commitment. The responses decide the location, the membership structure, and whether OUTPOST gets built at all.
If you think it's a bad idea, the last question is the most useful one on the page.
On the list
Nothing else to do. We'll write once, when there's something real to say: a location, a build, or an honest note that the numbers didn't support it.
No. This site is part of early research into whether the concept should be built at all.
Not determined. Fort Lee, Piermont, Nyack and Tarrytown are among the areas being explored, and rider responses will weigh heavily on the decision.
The proposed model includes secure extended-hours or potentially 24/7 member access.
Not primarily. OUTPOST is intended to be a cycling clubhouse and storage and training base, with service available as an added benefit.
Potentially. Additional bike storage would likely be available as an add-on.
Yes. Organized rides and member-led riding would be part of the community concept.
Insurance, security, liability and member coverage are still being researched, and would be clearly defined before launch.
Yes. The concept is explicitly intended to accommodate road, endurance and triathlon bikes.
Keep your bike where the good riding begins.
